The Writing Center

Whether you are developing a thesis, constructing an outline, working on a first draft, or putting the final touches on a research paper, our writing tutors are dedicated to encouraging your growth and development as a writer. We also provide videography assistance for oral presentations. (Appointments are encouraged!)

Our services are FREE to all RichmondCC students pursuing any course of study.

Hamlet Campus - Conder Building, Rooms 104 & 105

• Fall/Spring Semester: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday - Thursday;  9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fridays
• Summer Semester: 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday

Scotland County Campus Hours & Location - Morgan Center, Room 221

• Fall/Spring Semester: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.  Monday - Thursday; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fridays
• Summer Semester: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.  Tuesdays and Thursdays

Writing Lab tutors are available only on days when the college is open and classes are in session.

  The earlier the better!
• Your file must be in a Microsoft Word document file or a Microsoft PowerPoint file format.

Can I make an appointment with a Writing Center Tutor?

YES! In fact, students are encouraged to make an appointment using the button below for either writing tutoring help session or for assistance recording an oral presentation.

• Walk-ins are welcome to drop in, although appointments will have priority.
• Students can also access writing support 24/7 via Upswing from the Moodle Homepage using the Quick Links tab.
