The Associate in General Education – Nursing is designed for prospective nursing students to complete required general education and science courses for the competitive Associate Degree Nursing program or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.

Semester Schedule
A student who completes an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Nursing with a GPA of at least 2.0 and a grade of “C” or better in the AGE-Nursing courses listed below and who holds a current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina will have fulfilled the UNC institutions lower-division general education requirements as well as nursing program entry requirements. However, because nursing program admissions are competitive, no student is guaranteed admission to the program of his or her choice.
To receive a degree, diploma or certificate from RCC, a student must have a grade of “C” or better in all curriculum courses and a “B” or better in all BIO courses for the program of study.

Transfers
To receive guaranteed admission through WCU Connect, transfer students must: Be currently enrolled at a participating institution in a degree-seeking capacity. Submit a complete WCU application for admission and records by published deadlines. Pay the application fee or request a waiver. Be in good academic standing and demonstrate good conduct. Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5, and at least a 2.2 GPA in their most recent term. Earn an associate degree from a participating college. Enroll at WCU within one academic year of degree completion. Complete the WCU Connect Form.
