Nursing Assistant I (NAS-3240)
Overview
Offered in a traditional classroom setting with both day and evening options, this hands-on training program will prepare you to successfully complete a state of North Carolina approved competency evaluation examination that allows the nurse aide to be listed on the N.C. Nurse Aide I Registry. The course includes instructor lectures, videos, role playing methods and hands-on learning. Upon successful completion of the course, you will be able to take the state exam through Credentia for listing and certification with the state of North Carolina. Pre-registration is required!

Scotland County Campus
- Jan. 11 - May 5 | Monday through Thursday from 1:30 to 4:40 p.m. at the Honeycutt Center, room 125. Tuition is $180; fees are $290.
- Jan. 6 - May 5 | Monday through Thurday from 6 to 9 p.m. and select Saturdays and Sundays at the Honeycutt Center, room 125. Tuition is $180; fees are $290.
Hamlet Campus
- Jan. 11 - May 5 | Monday through Thursday from 8 to 11 a.m. on the Hamlet Campus, Grimsley Building, room 203. Tuition is $180; fees are $290.

Requirements for Registration
- Accuplacer Next Generation Reading score of 250 or higher. A transcript showing successful completion of a college level English course is a substitute for the test score.
- Valid U.S. government issued Social Security Card
- Valid driver’s license or state issued picture ID
- Current immunization record
- Current completed physical
- Current TB skin result
