Overview
The Criminal Justice degree provides students with a foundation in criminal law, corrections, report writing, forensic science, and other aspects of the criminal justice system. It prepares students for immediate careers in local, state, and federal police forces, correctional institutions, and private security agencies. Transfers
The purpose of this agreement is to provide a seamless transition from the AAS Degree in Criminal Justice Program to the Online BA Degree in Criminal Justice at Columbia College. Students must have a 2.0 GPA. Thirty credit hours must be taken at Columbia College to earn a BA degree.
This agreement pertains to RichmondCC graduates who earn their Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S) Degrees in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or Human Services through RichmondCC and who desire to earn their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degrees in Business Management, Criminology, or Psychology through Coker College's 100% online program. In addition to Coker College's online programs, this agreement also allows RichmondCC students to attend the traditional programs offered through Coker College. Coker College will accept completion of the associate as acceptance into the program. Grades lower than a C will not transfer.
Fayetteville State University accepts transfers from RichmondCC, provided students meet the transfer requirements (different depending on the number of credit hours the student wants to transfer)
Community College and Gardner-Webb University are constantly striving to enhance community college student access to Gardner-Webb programs and degrees. The parties recognize that curricular changes occur periodically, and that executing a new agreement each time either party makes a change is inefficient and burdensome. Therefore, to the extent that either party makes curricular changes that are purely technical in nature or that serve to enhance community college students’ ability to matriculate to Gardner-Webb, either party may implement such changes upon providing prior notice to the other party, to include the specific proposed changes. Unless either party objects within 30 days of notice, the curricular changes shall go into effect at that time, and the attached Transfer Pathway Plan will be so amended as necessary to reflect the changes. To the extent that the AAS Transfer Pathway Plan is changed, Gardner-Webb will provide a revised version and post it on its website. Any other types of changes shall be in writing and be executed by authorized representatives of each institution.
This is agreement facilitates the transfer of students with an Applied Science Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice and Nursing (RN-BSN). Students must maintain a 2.0 GPA to be admitted. Application fees are waived.
North Carolina Wesleyan College agrees to grant any student who is the recipient of a Criminal Justice associate degree from Richmond Community College, sixty hours towards the baccalaureate degree and junior standing. Wesleyan will also provide Richmond Community College with a complete list of courses we accept from NC Community Colleges and how they transfer to North Carolina Wesleyan College. The coursework for the Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice will be offered 100% online.
UNC Pembroke is a signatory school on articulation agreements with the North Carolina Community College System. These agreements makes it easier for students to complete four-year degrees at UNCP . Programs that UNCP accepts are: Associate in Arts and Associate in Science. Additional agreements include seamless transfer for students in AAS Human Services, AAS Business Administration, AAS Accounting and Finances, AAS Criminal Justice, and RN-BSN.
